Skelmir is a black colt with white socks on his hind legs and some white spots on his shoulder, neck and croup. He is definitely four gaited, but could be five gaited. He shows trot and tölt in the paddock. Skelmir has a lovely nature and will be a nice riding horse later on. He has been tested for Red factor and Tobiano pinto and is heterozygous Red and heterozygous pinto! Skelmir is registered in the international database for Icelandic Horses : www.worldfengur.com

Skelmir has been living with Thorun in Brisbane from April 2010 to June 2011 and has mated her mare Dana. Dana had a lovely looking pinto colt on the 3rd of November 2011. In 2012 he sired a lovely filly at Haldane Icelandics. Her name is Hnoss. Skelmir has been started by Chris and Yvonne from Narrawin stud from March to August 2013. Skelmir is learning very fast and they ride him out with mares without problems. We are expecting two foals from him for the 2013 foaling season, one from Sunna and one from Bliđ from Haldanes. Sunna had a lovely black pinto filly that we called Villimey.
