About us

My name is Nele Kömle and I’m originally from Graz in Austria. In October 2003 I decided to go to Australia for one year and after that I stayed on. For the first 5 years I have managed a 900 cow dairy farm on King Island.

In 2009 I decided to move from King Island to the Victoria. I have rented a lovely property for two years near Camperdown. In October 2011 I moved to my partner’s dairy farm in Garvoc.

I started riding when I was 11 years old on warmbloods and changed to Icelandic Horses two years later and never looked back. I have been to Iceland three times over the past few years and did a lot of riding.

My dream of finally owning an Icelandic Horse myself became true three years ago when I bought my two geldings Elgur and Sörli. Both are five gaited and I started them in 2006 and 2007. Although I haven’t much time to train them they are doing really well.

I always wanted to breed horses and in July 2007 I went to Europe and the USA to check out some brood mares. I ended up buying two fillies which arrived in Australia in May 2008.

I also have three dogs that are part of the family: Sky, Stella and Loser
